Whew! We made it to our third year and we are going
to party! Mark youcalendar now because you will not want to miss our
Third Anniversary Celebration on Oct. 4. There will be giveaways,
discounts and demonstrations all day long.
Another great event is our fall shop hop, the Magical Mystery
Tour on Oct 29-Nov 1. This hop includes 4 shops and 4 mysteries
with a top prize of $400. Passports are only $5. Stop by anytime for
more details. New fabric continues to arrive weekly and there are
too many to name them all. We have great Christmas fabrics in stock and
many sample projects on display. If
you haven't been by lately you are missing out!
Check our website often for
updates on our classes along with pictures of the finished projects. We
post updates several times each month. Be sure to stop by "A
gathering of Quilts" Sep. 26-27 to be inspired by all the
fabulous quilts our local quilters have on display.
The Golden
Thimble Society meets Friday, Sep 19 for a evening of fun. Members should

Gathering of Quilts… September 27&28 at the Donner Center in
Columbus. The Columbus Star Quilters and Evening Star Quilters present this
local quilt show which only takes place every two years… and it is WONderful!

artistry and humor of 19th-century quilts. Dozens of examples, including a
quilt made fromt the black bunting hung in the Indiana statehouse when

the 50-yard club….Each time you buy fabric at full price, we record it on
your Fabric Card. Purchase 50 yards of fabric, and you’re inducted into the
Golden Thimble Society: you receive a brass coated thimble from England, $25
gift certificate, and invitations to our special events for members
only.
Kid’s Sewing Club ...We are excited to announce a new sewing
club just for kids! We will meet once each month and work on a new project
or learn a specific skill. This class is open to all kids ages 8 and up. We
will meet >on the first Saturday of each month from 1:00—3:00. Sign-up now,
class size is limited so that the student/teacher ratio is
good.
Birthday Club...open to everyone who has a birthday! Come in
during the month of your birthday and receive a one-time discount — ½ your
age up to 30% off.
